Once Bitten (2014)

Once Bitten is a video portrait of Dani Cabs as he discusses the exchange in his life of one habit for another. Interviewed by Rhys Jones, Dani narrates stories from his past to identify the underlying reasons he has been a nail biter for as long as he can remember. Rhys and Dani discover the reasons behind Dani wanting to put an end to this bad habit and the “issues” surrounding his habit replacement. This work is a sincere look at a young adult’s thought process surrounding personal identity, addiction, gender politics and sexuality. The film aims to challenge the viewers perception of what we regard as societal 'norms'.
